| Quality Assurance
Ghatge Patil Industries Limited believes that there is no substitute for quality of design, materials preparation, manufacturing and it complies with all codes and standards applicable to the products manufactured by the Company. To achieve and maintain these standards, the Company has established a comprehensive quality assurance system. This is backed up by an audit encompassing design, manufacture, assembly, testing, examination, packing and shipping in accordance with the latest standards and specifications. Each Division Head at GPI is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance system. The effectiveness of the entire system is ensured by the participation of all employees who, in one way or other contribute to achieve and maintain highest quality levels for every product manufactured in GPI. The Company's laboratories are equipped with ARL Spectrometer, Neophot 21 Microscope, Universal Testing Machine, Hardness testing Machines (Brinell & Rockwell), Testing Units for Sand properties for chemical analysis, mechanical testing and metallurgical examination. In-house facilities are used for radiography crack detection by magnetic particle, dye penetrate and ultrasonic examination. Hydrostatic testing and helium leak detection ensure the integrity of assembled products and provide a audit of their safety. Periodic inspection of jigs and fixtures, pattern equipments, core Boxes, master gauges and calibration of measuring instruments, pressure gauges and pyrometers are part of the Company's quality assurance procedure. Further routine calibration of core sand and moulding sand mixers ensure consistency in resin additives and other sand parameters ensuring quality of the castings. On request, GPI offers its products to independent authorities for inspection and pressure testing. GPI’s quality systems are audited by API, BVQI and TUV periodically. Foundry division is also audited for TS certification and Certificate is under process |
